Wi-Fi Access Point
Hi everyone, thanks for your patience as we work out the kinks in Wi-Fi Access Point production. We apologize for the delay in the update - we encountered some obstacles during the software protocol revamp and wanted to make sure all the major issues were taken care of before we provided a new timeline. The good news is that internal testing has been going very smoothly with the new software protocol. We’re now ready to begin assembly on Tuesday for shipping at the end of October.
We will be shipping the beta units to those in the US and Japan first assuming FCC and TELEC certification go smoothly. Final units will go out to the US and Japan in December, and we will begin shipping to additional countries as we pass each required certification.
Android App
Thanks to everyone for trying our new Android app and for providing your valuable feedback. We will soon be replacing the current Google Play beta app with the refactored app so you’ll be updated when we push a new build - no more checking the Google drive link to see if we’ve uploaded a new version!
We know many of you are disappointed about the lack of auto-unlock in the new version, and we apologize for the inconvenience. Due to the changes to software architecture in order to increase app stability, we couldn’t keep the auto-unlock function as-is, but we didn’t want to delay the app availability for this feature. Auto-unlock will be temporarily unavailable on the new app, but we will be working hard to add it back soon!
